“Work?” Mr. Magundi replied with an expression of blank horror.

  1. Mr. Magundi says that he never objects to being quoted in church bulletins. He merely wonders about your religion. It would horrify him to think of himself as a prophet, he says. There’s too much responsibility involved, and you usually end up getting sawed in half or something.

  2. I’m at least fairly certain that no one in my Catholic congregation would leap for their saws upon reading his words – and if it makes it more palatable, I’ll mention that Mr. Magundi is no prophet.
